ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the gold-standard behavioral treatment for OCD. And no, the goal isn’t to throw you into your biggest fear on day one. We’ll work collaboratively to practice approaching uncertainty and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or situations while changing the ways you typically respond to them. ERP should be challenging sometimes—but it should also make sense, feel purposeful, and connect back to the life you want to be living.

You can tell us. Seriously. Intrusive thoughts can involve just about anything, including things that feel completely inconsistent with who you are and what you value. You don’t need to clean them up, make them sound less scary, or convince me that you would never act on them. This is OCD treatment. We can talk about the weird stuff here.

Yes! I accept select insurance plans through Headway. Coverage varies based on your insurance plan and the state where you’re located, so we’ll verify your specific benefits before beginning treatment. Private-pay options are also available.

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to arrive with the right diagnosis - or even know exactly how to explain what’s happening. Part of our initial work together is understanding what you’re experiencing and determining what kind of treatment is likely to be most helpful.
